Dan, the owner of Atlanta Family Therapy wanted a website redesign to keep his brand fresh and make it easy for clients to find out about his services. Research indicated that potential clients were looking for information on his services, his skills, his prices, if he took insurance, and how to contact him. After making improvements to the information architecture of the site and adding information that customers were seeking, he saw an 8% increase in customer inquiries.
I used surveys and conducted interviews with potential therapy clients to determine what information they found most important on a therapist's website. They overwhelmingly said they focused on several key points. They needed to know what the therapist specializes in, what services they offer, what insurance they take, what their prices are, where they're located, and how to contact them.
The top navigation was reconfigured to help users more quickly find what they needed, and several key information pages were updated to better showcase the services that were offered. The contact and location pages were also updated to remove extraneous copy to help users focus on the key tasks on those pages, respectively contacting the therapist and finding his office on the map.
Due to the changes to the homepage, navigation, and several key information pages, Dan the owner of the practice saw an 8% increase in the number of client inquires as a result of customers being able to better determine if his services were right for them.
